Dump pouches are designed for the quick and convenient storage of empty magazines and other items. They are compact, easy to deploy, and provide space for used equipment. The new Mag-Release Dump Pouch from AGILITE is a revolutionary new concept: it automatically opens as soon as the magazine is removed.

The Dump Pouch uses materials such as 500D Mil Spec Cordura, Lasercut Squadron Laminate, and Lasercut Velcro Overlay panels. Its dimensions are 33.1 x 8.9 x 4.8 cm. It weighs 112 g. The volume is approximately 3 liters and it can hold up to five magazines. The Mag-Release Dump Pouch is optimized for AGILITE Pincer Mag Pouches, but also works with other models.

The mesh bottom prevents dirt, sand, or water from accumulating in the pouch.

The opening can be adjusted and closed using the shock cord.

The pouch can be mounted as a regular dump pouch using the supplied flap without any special accessories.

Removing the cover flap reveals the PALS/MOLLE attachment. Beneath the thermoplastic PALS rows, a loop velcro is attached.

The lid flap of the Dump Pouch can even be operated while wearing tactical gloves, such as the VADER from ESKA.

After opening, the lid flap is secured inside on the velcro to prevent it from getting in the way when putting items back in.

Using the attachment straps of the magazine pouch of your choice, you can now attach both the magazine pouch and the Dump Pouch together to a piece of gear.

Connecting the magazine pouch and Dump Pouch to a belt is simple and can be done in a few steps.

For attachment to a belt, plate carrier, or chest rig, only two PALS rows are required.

The Dump Pouch is thus installed behind the magazine pouch, saving valuable space on the range belt.

With the magazine pouch installed, the volume is reduced.

Now comes AGILITE's revolutionary idea. At the bottom of the Dump Pouch there is a bungee cord. The device is equipped with a Cordura handle and can be operated with one hand.

You pull it over the magazine to close the pouch.

When the magazine is removed, the bungee cord releases.

The Dump Pouch opens automatically. Newton is said to have discovered gravity in 1666 when he saw an apple fall from a tree. AGILITE is using gravity here.

Magazines with side coupling lugs for a second magazine, as used with the G36, carry a risk. There is a chance that the bungee cord may get caught on the coupling lug.

Conclusion

KISS—"Keep it simple, stupid." AGILITE applied this principle in developing the Mag-Release Dump Pouch. And it works flawlessly, with the Dump Pouch instantly deployed. The only drawback when using the bungee cord is that, when you need the Mag-Release Dump Pouch, you must either remove the magazine or pull the bungee cord back over the magazine. If this is not practiced, it can be fiddly and stressful in the field. The optimized shape and attachment prevent excessive wobbling when open.

The Mag-Release Dump Pouch from AGILITE is available in black, ranger green, and Multicam for 59.90 EUR at retailers such as STEINADLER, who carry the brand in their range.
