Again this year, the German Daily Carry Convention (GDC-Con) took place near Munich. The GDC-Con is a convention for EDC nerds by EDC nerds. No wonder we had to be there.
Many exhibitors were on site with knives, hanks, leather goods, and the finest EDC gear. Many well-known and new knife manufacturers presented their products and were available to the interested audience for questions and answers. Here are some impressions from the convention.
The furthest traveled was HOG HOUSE from Finland. Tapio Syrjälä and Viljami Salonen personally attended and brought their knives.

ALB KNIVES presented their EDC knives, folders, and kitchen knives in a somewhat unusual and humorous way. One cannot help but see a mischievousness in it.
It was a special pleasure to meet an old and good friend. Georg from G-GEAR was there and displayed his finest pieces. WINKLER and BEHRING at the table.
Christoph from the Black Forest, of FORGE WORKS, arrived with his knives and custom creations. The Falcata and the Gladius attracted a large number of interested visitors.

BASTARDS KNIVES had a booth on site showcasing their products.
Having a BASTARD knife is not a trend, but a way of life that is reflected in the products.
With SCHANZ, who presented two of his new designs, an old acquaintance and professional from the knife scene was on site.
The KNIFE LOUNGE not only greeted with a warm Moin, but also presented a wide selection of high-quality pocket knives, fixed knives, handmade collector's items and exclusives, as well as great EDC knives and tools.
The pen is mightier than the sword, says an old proverb. KNIFE LOUNGE also offers high-quality pens for this purpose.

The GDC-Con 2025 was very well attended. On site, people could exchange ideas, meet new people, have interesting conversations, and gather new ideas for their EDC. The weather was very good, the journey was without major problems. Everything was very well organized on site. Until next time.
