UF PRO P-40 Mark I Pants

07/16/2025By Redaktion

This new pair of pants from UF PRO, the P-40 Mark 1, is so light that you can't even tell if it's a tactical pant or something else. For a short time, it was labeled as "Range Pants" on the UF PRO website, and that was quite accurate: you can feel the sporty aspect, and that's a good thing.

The P-40 Mark 1 from the front and side: there’s no frills, no pockets, no zippers, just the pants. The legwear weighs 0.45 kilos in size 34/34. It flutters around the legs: lightness, mobility, freedom. Ideal for shooters going to the range, but also perfect for anyone wanting a leisure pant that feels like a tactical training pant.

Let’s get into detail: the UF PRO P-40 Mark 1 relies classically on double security, hook and snap. The best part is hidden behind a zipper.

At the belt loops, you can recognize the UF PRO heritage: the first loop is for the belt, the second can be opened and closed again to attach a weapon belt. You can do it, but you don’t have to. Those who wear Velcro belts and attach weapon belts might find this feature overwhelming.

In the front, the pants have acceptably baggy pockets, plus a small one that can hold a pistol magazine or a knife.

In the back, the angled back pockets have no zip or Velcro, just open for easy access. We think that's great.

Rear view of the entire seat and leg area.

A carry-over from their tactical pants line is the waist/hip padding. It doesn't feel noticeable when worn, so that's okay.

And we see next to the padding the slot for the UF PRO belt system. We like that they made it optional because we want to use our own belt. But there are two UF PRO belt solutions that we want to show you next week, which can be integrated into the pants.

The flexibility of the "tactical training pants" also comes from the manufacturer’s choice of materials. There’s a lot of stretch where it should be stretchy.

A little "Slav Squat" in between, and "ass to the grass." With these pants, you can not only go to the range, but you could also hit the gym. And they still look like a pretty normal pair of pants.

This is the logo of UF PRO on the outside of the pants. You can beautifully see the two materials that make up these range pants: a very light ripstop fabric and a lot of 4-way stretch, which complement each other perfectly.

UF PRO usually puts several clever features into the cuffs of the tactical pants - anti-bug ventilation mesh, adjustable cinch cord, boot lace hook - but this time, just a simple finish with nothing fancy.

These wonderful pants end with a solid finish. What more do you need? Here is the manufacturer's video:

CONCLUSION: Simple pants, great hit. The UF PRO P-40 Mark 1 pants is a tactical training pant that also brings a high level of everyday usability. Extremely flexible, super comfortable to wear. The pants appreciate your mobility and want to be put to the test. Ideal for movement-oriented shooters, and for anyone else, a super cool, relaxed leisure pant.

The UF PRO P-40 Mark 1 pants are available directly from the manufacturer and retailers that carry UF PRO for around 169 euros.
