The FBI? No, not in person, but at least the helmet that the FBI has chosen for its tactical teams. And it comes – tada – from Busch PROtective from Germany. A good reason to take a closer look at this fine piece at the Behördentagen 2025. 

In Half-cut style, the AMP-1 X helmet system has been specifically developed for police and security forces. It offers a lighter alternative to the AMP-1 TP and features a no-drill mounting system – that means no holes to potentially weaken the shell – as well as a perfectly balanced ratio of protection, weight, and wearing comfort. 

Inside, the Busch PROtective helmet looks extremely comfortable. The good padding also helps protect the wearer in case of a hit. 

Adjustable from the back, the harness is also of the highest quality. 

View from the back: The AMP-1 X has passed the updated DEA-FBI Ballistic Helmet Protocol V 2.0 2024, issued by the FBI's Ballistic Research Facility (BRF), as well as the VPAM HVN 2009, the NIJ-Level-IIIA testing, and the STANAG-2920 standard. This means that Busch PROtective put a lot of research and development work in to achieve the best mix with the ideal combination of low weight and high protection class for the rigorous requirements set by the FBI.
