The SSV-Alpinum is here!

In the south of Vienna (Austria), the shooting EL-Dorado of Austria, there is a new club - the SSV-ALPINUM. It was founded by Edelweiss and aims to provide shooters an opportunity to hold joint training sessions and better meet the official requirements for being a sports shooter. Even though it was founded by Edelweiss, they plan to withdraw from the club later. A club ultimately thrives on its members and their activity. For now, they remain the hub for all activities of the new club and its main sponsor. 

Recently, there was the first club meeting with all sorts of visions and ideas that now need to be implemented. If you are also interested in a shooting club with a primary focus on defensive shooting, feel free to stop by. Currently, there is still a lot to shape and contribute. The SSV-ALPINUM already has around 150 members, and the numbers are steadily increasing.

Some may wonder: “But there is already the International Shooting Federation, or ISB. Is a dual membership worth it?” The answer is yes. The ISB already has many members and actively lobbies on behalf of sports shooters, even directly in Brussels. Of course, it is also active in this country, especially in light of the current considerations regarding tightening gun laws. The SSV-ALPINUM sees itself more as a traditional shooting club, where besides competitions, there will also be training, events, and lively exchange among members.
