US Marines unleash the Banshee

NOKIA has announced the provision of its cutting-edge Banshee tactical wireless solutions to the U.S. Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA). This collaboration aims to enhance the MARINE CORPS' communication capabilities in complex operational environments. The Banshee product line, including the newly launched 5G Banshee Flex Radio, is designed to provide secure, resilient, and flexible networks essential for modern battlefield communications. 

The 5G Banshee Flex Radio represents a significant advancement in tactical communication technology. It offers a private dual 5G/LTE band network, delivering gig-speed throughput at the tactical edge. Its modular design allows for maximum flexibility, enabling seamless integration with existing communication systems. Features such as advanced edge computing, mesh networking, and band flexibility ensure that warfighters have reliable and secure communication channels, even in the most challenging environments. 

MCTSSA, located at MARINE CORPS Base Camp Pendleton, California, serves as the USMC's center for Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Intelligence (C4I) integration. By incorporating NOKIA's Banshee solutions, MCTSSA aims to bolster communications capabilities in Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations (EABO) and other forward-deployed missions. The integration of these advanced communication tools is expected to enhance situational awareness, operational security, and overall mission effectiveness.
