REVIEW: FFI MC BLACK Gen3 Combat Set - Limited Edition

If you're going to be a "fashion victim," do it properly. In plain terms: the equipment must be up to date and the camouflage pattern must be fashionable. The latest trend is Multicam Black in both leisure and operational settings. Flash Force Industries (FFI) specializes in recreating uniforms and gear of American Special Forces. Now, a limited edition replica of the Crye G3 in Multicam Black has been released.

Here you see a frontal view. Multicam Black is essentially the urban camouflage pattern from Crye Precision's Multicam series. And this set is a replica of a G3 uniform from the American masters. This means the cut is original, but the manufacturer and fabric are likely not. That's why the price is also incomparable.

The G3 Combat Shirt has the same features as all G3 Combat Shirts, but let's take a closer look. The body is made of black fabric, naturally not fire-resistant.

The collar can be worn flat or raised. Protects the neck, prevents the weapon strap from rubbing.

Each upper arm has a pocket.

Characteristic of the G3 items are the two Velcro strips. All others have panels.

The sleeves are reinforced in case you need to strain your elbows.

At the end of the sleeves, the width can be adjusted with Velcro.

The secret of Crye has always been the use of Four-Way-Stretch to keep the operational gear flexible. The replica also lives up to what the original promises. The waist is not as high as in real trousers, but we actually find this advantageous because you can wear these G3 pants like normal trousers.
