As a replacement for material delivered to Ukraine, the Federal Office for Equipment, Information Technology and Use of the Bundeswehr (BAAINBw) procures 2,600 German Model 22 Anti-Tank Directional Mines (PARM DM22) - with the option for an additional 10,000 systems. A corresponding framework agreement was signed today by the President of the Procurement Office of the Bundeswehr, Annette Lehnigk-Emden. Prior to this, the Budget Committee of the German Bundestag approved the project with a total volume of around 68 million euros.
The agreement provides for the definitive order and immediate call-off of the 2,600 directional mines from the budget plan 60. Orders of up to another 10,000 PARM DM22 in batch sizes of 1,000 pieces each can also be placed under the agreement with TDW GmbH, a subsidiary of MBDA Deutschland GmbH.
The direction mine mounted on a tripod is used against combat tanks and armored combat vehicles.
The quantity to be initially procured is designed as a pure replenishment for the effectiveness materials delivered to Ukraine and includes various technical changes that require a re-qualification of the DM22.
A demonstration batch will be produced from 2025, with initial series deliveries available to the troops from 2026.
