Elbit Systems expands its E-LynX™ family with multi-channel and full-duplex technologies that significantly increase network throughput and enhance the company's SDR-based solution for digital transformation in multiple domains. The company's SDR solution will thus become an even stronger pillar for cross-domain digital transformation.
When using radio systems with one or two radio channels, the transmission and reception capability of tactical users depends on the availability of the channels. This can limit network availability, bandwidth, and range. Elbit Systems' new patented multi-channel technology allows for the simultaneous use of multiple radio frequencies for transmission and reception. In this process, one or more waveforms can be used simultaneously, ensuring network availability at all times. This is a crucial key factor in multi-domain operations. Multi-channel network capability optimizes the use of frequency resources and allows for the simultaneous use of radio systems in multiple missions with fast, simultaneous transmissions. This ensures continuous maintenance of fast, robust, secure, interoperable, and interference-resistant communication in even the most challenging terrain. Current tactical radio technologies only allow access to the network for one user at a time. With the new full-duplex technology, multiple tactically deployed soldiers can exchange information simultaneously and engage in dynamic conversations, making information flow on the battlefield much more intuitive and faster.
The SDR E-LynX™ family is already the preferred choice for several user countries for cross-domain digital transformation, including Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Brazil, and Israel. Elbit Systems will deliver more than ten thousand multi-channel full-duplex E-LynX™ SDR radio systems as part of these programs.
