REVIEW: Lindnerhof Tactical Rifle Bag L1

Transporting a firearm is always somehow problematic. The weapon should/must be securely stored and at the same time you don't want to attract too much attention. Bags can sometimes be an advantage over hard-shell cases. From Lindnerhof Taktik there is a very inconspicuous and extremely functional gun bag and we have taken a look at it.

This is how smooth the outside of gun bag L1 looks. It measures about 80 x 25 x 7.5 cm and offers three compartments. It is made of solid Cordura.

The two accessory compartments are attached to the main compartment and are closed with a zipper. Magazines, ammunition, and other accessories can be stored here. The compartments measure 30 x 25 cm and 42 x 25 cm.

Inside, they are lined with Velcro on both sides. So there is plenty of space for patches. Just kidding, this way you can easily attach organizational elements.

The package includes five dividing elements that you can easily attach as you like. Simple and functional, that's how we like it.

All compartments are closed with heavy-duty YKK zippers. They last forever. The zippers can also be locked, but we don't know if that is sufficient for the German legislator.

But now to the main compartment. Here your long gun can be stored, at least if it is not longer than 80 cm. Fortunately, our AKM has a folding stock.

To secure the gun inside, you have several PALS loops available. A 20 mm strap with a buckle is included.

There is also a generous roll of hook-and-loop tape with hook and loop sides for securing. This way, the gun can definitely be safely stored in bag L1.

Weapons with accessories are notoriously heavy, so the handle of a gun bag must be sturdy. This is also the case with gun bag L1. The carrying handle is sewn on in a classic way.

But heavy loads are even better carried as a backpack. With the included shoulder straps, this is possible.

These can be mounted on gun bag L1 with detachable buckles. The shoulder straps themselves are anatomically shaped and also padded 1 cm thick.

If they are not needed, simply unclip them and you're done.

CONCLUSION: The gun bag L1 from Lindnerhof Taktik attracts hardly any attention and fulfills its task flawlessly. Thanks to its slim, well-thought-out design, everything finds its place and is quickly accessible. As long as your gun is not longer than 80 cm, the gun bag L1 is a solid solution for transport.
