The G43 Magnifier is the successor to the G33 - HERE in the SPARTANAT Review - which had nothing to complain about. But progress cannot be stopped, so EOTech continued to tweak the optical system of the magnifier. The result is the G43 Magnifier, which is about two centimeters shorter.
As seen in the picture, our G43 weighs 331g, almost the same weight as the G33 Magnifier.
If desired, the rubber cover can be removed to save a few grams, but this risks scratches and the adjustment turrets continue to protrude.
The lens adjustment can be done without tools and the diopter adjustment is precise.
With the riser, you have the ideal height for the EOTech EXPS reflex sight. The mechanics are military-tested and top-notch.
The mounting is the same as with the G33 Magnifier and we are still very impressed with it. STS stands for "Switch To Side," explaining the mounting mechanism clearly. The housing is water-resistant up to 10 meters, shockproof, and additionally protected with a removable rubber coating.
The field of view is clear, as you would expect. All this comes at a price - at over 640 euros, the G43 falls into the expensive segment of our comparison test.
Speaking of comparison, here is the G43 in a direct comparison to the G33. The G33 Magnifier is the sandy-colored one, just to avoid any confusion. The difference in length is clearly noticeable.
In handling and processing, both optical aids are identical.
The G43 Magnifier has a smaller front lens. Because of this resulting optical system, the edge area is slightly curved in motion. This is not noticeable when observing calmly. You have a distortion-free, clear image.

The EOTech is one of the most expensive devices in the series, but quality comes at a cost.
CONCLUSION: Best quality at a reasonable price. Superior to the predecessor G33 due to its more compact design. Minor deductions are made due to slight distortion at the edges during movement, but this is due to the lens curvature from the compact design. Overall, a top optic.
HERE at IEA-Mil Optics you can order the G43 STS directly. The magnifier costs 649 euros.
