REVIEW: Olight i1R 2 EOS

So small and already a flashlight, that's the i1R 2 EOS from Olight. This tiny light is designed to be a constant companion on your keychain and is brighter than you might think. We'll show it to you in detail.

The i1R 2 EOS flashlight measures just under 4.5 cm in length and 1.5 cm in diameter, so really tiny. It's also light at just 14 grams. Moreover, it's waterproof up to IPX8, at least when properly screwed. A little rain shower won't bother the i1R 2.

The handling is simple. There's a pictogram printed on the end cap that explains everything. Twist the cap of the i1R 2 EOS to the right, and it will start to light up at a certain point, on LOW with 5 lumens.

This mode provides you with light for about 6 hours. Perfect for quickly shedding some light on the darkness, like when your coins fall on the floor again.

Continuing to turn will activate the HIGH mode, which gives you 150 lumens for 15 minutes and 400 candela. A lot of light for such a tiny light.

The i1R 2 EOS is powered by integrated batteries, which you can charge with the included cable. Simply turn the cap towards "OFF" until the body pops out, exposing the micro-USB input for charging.

There's a small LED indicator for the battery level. Once it turns green, the i1R 2 EOS is fully charged. HERE is our short video of the small flashlight.

CONCLUSION: A small illuminating companion that certainly has its place in EDC. The best flashlight is the one you have with you, and the i1R 2 EOS flashlight always finds a place on your keychain.
