Cowhide is the top layer of the skin. It is very durable, robust, and has high strength, suppleness, and moisture resistance. Full-grain leather retains the natural surface structure. 

The highest cut protection class 5 is achieved through the cut-resistant properties of the inner material of the X Viper duty glove according to EN 388 on the palm. The glove is certified according to EN 388:2016. 

The standard sets testing procedures and performance levels for protective gloves and assesses abrasion, cut, tear, and puncture resistance, as well as cut resistance under high force impact. 

The results are indicated on the glove. The cut protection lining used is a blend of aramid, polyester, and glass fibers. Aramid fibers are particularly tear-resistant and therefore ideal for protecting people and materials. Polyester and glass fibers are also tear-resistant, abrasion-resistant, shape-retaining, water-repellent, and easy to care for.

The inner lining for the back of the hand is made of 100% polyester and is also suitable for colder days.

Sewn-in elastic band and a Velcro closure at the wrist ensure a perfect fit of the glove and prevent cold from entering.
