How silencers work is surely known to most. After a shot, the gases from the propellant expand and exit at the end of the barrel. A silencer inhibits this through various chambers and specially shaped structures. You may already be familiar with what these chambers look like from various images. However, you can now see how the gas and heat are distributed and behave in a nice video with the help of a high-speed camera. This alone is interesting, but in addition different structures are shown and how efficiently they work. We have linked the video for you in the cover image.
