What does Gucci Gear mean?

Accusations of wearing unnecessary luxury items as equipment are common in today's society, with comparisons between practical field jackets like the Russian Afghanka and expensive Gucci jackets. Again and again you hear the accusation: "That's Gucci Gear!" Which means: You wear luxury goods as equipment that nobody needs. Sometimes it's also the case that Gear makes it to Gucci. The one on the left in the picture is a Russian Afghanka, a field jacket for winter, worn by the Russians when they were in Afghanistan (a long time ago). The one on the right is a jacket from the luxury brand Gucci. Or to put it another way: you could have gotten that cheaper ... Afghankas cost almost nothing compared to authentic Gucci.
