Interviews
takeKONTROL Podcast:

What companies can learn from special forces

Crisis preparedness typically occurs in reaction to a crisis, but proactive resilience-building is essential for individuals and companies. In a discussion on the takeKONTROL Podcast, Prof. Dr. Daniel Kaptain emphasizes that mental and physical training can enhance clarity under pressure, allowing for better preparedness in challenging situations.

Most people think about crisis preparedness when the crisis is already here. But what can we do beforehand? As individuals, but also as companies, to increase resilience.

Physical and mental performance play a major role in this. This is exactly what Nico Gramenz from the takeKONTROL Podcast discussed with Prof. Dr. Daniel Kaptain – he is the author of the SPARTANAT Black Books “Operator Tuning” and “Tactical Nutrition” – during their talk.

In addition to a list of mental and physical challenges, which everyone should evaluate how well they can tackle today (see my post from Sunday), what stuck with me is mainly: resilience is also trainable in this area. Even small routines can improve the ability to think clearly under pressure. And it’s not about being perfect. It’s about being better prepared today than yesterday – mentally, physically, and practically!

That’s why we talk about Workforce Readiness at takeKONTROL. Because companies do not become resilient (only) through processes. They become resilient when the people in the companies are. HERE you can go directly to the takeKontrol Podcast with Daniel Kaptain.
