The Steyr AUG rifle has served the Austrian Armed Forces for 44 years, with minimal changes. Special forces like the Jagdkommando have received an updated weapon.
The Steyr AUG has been in use by the Austrian Armed Forces as the StG77 for as long as the number in its name suggests, 44 years.
