Wonderful, what we are allowed to see here truly impresses us. Beauty is not just in the eye of the beholder, it really exists. At the same time, we recommend following her channel because she is really good: DANIELLE VALKYRIE can be found on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.
The weapon is also something special: This is the STEYR ARMS AUG in 300 BLK, as used by the Austrian police special unit COBRA – we saw it back in 2019 at Enforce Tac. What is fascinating is not only the caliber, which is more or less the logical (anti-terrorist) counterpart to the Kalashnikov, but we see some fascinating components on the weapon, not only like the enlarged magazine holder from CORVUS DEFENSIO.
Both the upper and lower rails are certainly inspired by CORVUS DEFENSIO, but with a twist. Both are executed in a step design. This brings the folding grip closer to the grip frame at the bottom, yet there is still space for mounting at the front on the lower rail. Also, note the large gas port for 300 BLK, which is significantly larger than for 5.56/.223.
Even more intriguing is the upper rail, which takes inspiration from both CORVUS in terms of length and the side attachment point for the sling, but is also part of STEYR ARMS itself. Remarkably, there is also a step here, allowing space for a weapon laser at the front just above the short barrel, a Rheinmetall LLM VarioRay fits perfectly. HERE you can find all technical data on the new LLM VarioRay from Rheinmetall.
The upper rail also has a step inside. And it is interesting: because the COBRA AUG in 300 BLK takes inspiration from UNITY TACTICAL and their mounts, which raise optics higher (at UNITY it's 2.26 inches). We can't say if it's that high here, but the rail is definitely twice as high as usual, and the optic setup sits on it: an Aimpoint Comp M4S with a 3XMag-1 Magnifier. A great choice for shooters in close range who may need to engage further at times. The high rail allows the shooter to bring their head upright against the stock and work with both eyes open. Additionally, it makes it easier to work with night vision goggles and/or a gas mask. Overall: a great device for COBRA, the Austrian anti-terrorism specialists.
