As in private, so in business, strong cohesion is always the prerequisite for successful projects. It is noticeable that the German security industry is fragmented, even though political events such as increasing terrorist threats, migration policies, or the growing need for subjective security are pushing for strong representation. In our times, the security industry should stick together and position itself prominently.

In addition to current political issues, whether the mentioned events or legal adjustments for the private security sector, the question arises whether the unintentionally shaped "myth" of the bodyguard is still appropriate. In many minds, the image of a rather simply structured "bodyguard" is still anchored, who clears the way muscle-packed or that of a "black shadow" in a suit, sunglasses, and earpiece. From this point of view, the mentioned bodyguard is outdated by the polished and educated personal protection officer who now appears, for example, for prominent figures from politics and business.

In order to free the reputable personal protection officer from a dubious reputation and to provide a platform for him, the Personal Protection Forum was founded by Christoph F. at the end of 2015, an experienced personal protection officer and expert in security and surveillance with a federal certificate of competence, who has worked for years as a leading executive in the security sector. He has been supported in community management by Johannes K. for some time. Today, the Personal Protection Forum is led by a 9-member management team. Each team member has their area of focus and corresponding expertise. The team's tasks range from verified membership admission to managing contributions to collaborations with companies and partner networks.

The idea of the Personal Protection Forum is to bring together experts and those interested in the field of high-end object and personal protection, equip them with expertise, tips for further education and training, as well as other interesting news that serve personal protection, enable networking, and job placement. In addition to exchanging ideas with each other, the Personal Protection Forum team introduces equipment from selected companies for the security sector and personal protection.

In the future, the goal will be to inform members of the Personal Protection Forum through current professional articles and to get to know each other personally at events. In addition to the main platforms - Personal Protection Forum Facebook page and the Facebook group - they maintain a close cooperation with the platform Eagle Six, which provides the forum with a large section on their internet platform. The Eagle Six platform offers the advantage that data and content are traceably protected and contributions can be easily found after a long time.
