Contract signed: Abrams for Poland
Contract signed for acquisition of 116 M1A1FEP tanks in Poland, along with support vehicles and training. Includes Abrams tanks, Hercules combat recovery vehicles, Joint Assault Bridges, Command Vehicles, and HMMWVs. Video shows Polish Abrams in 1st Warsaw Armored Brigade.
Today, the contract signing ceremony took place in Poland for 116 M1A1FEP tanks. The Abrams are already there. All in green. In addition to the purchase of tanks, the contract also includes the acquisition of support vehicles, spare parts, tools, and training. That includes:
- 116 M1A1FEP Abrams tanks
- 12 M88A2 Hercules Combat Recovery Vehicles
- 8 M1110 Joint Assault Bridges
- 6 M577A3 Command Vehicles
- 26 M1152A1 HMMWV
