Slicks are probably modern ... This here is a Slick Armor Carrier from Vel-tye. And as the Americans say, "This is a very KISS carrier, keep it simple stupid." Slick means body armor that is light and only holds protection.

All the gear that is normally carried is put on an extra harness (Chest Rig or PC), which is worn over it. This Slick itself only holds soft armor, no SAPI plates or pouches. It either comes from the possession of a SEAL or was custom made for someone, which is possible at Vel-Tye, who also work on individual orders.
