The SCRD-75 model from the "Frenzy Plus" series by VECTOR OPTICS is a compact, enclosed red dot sight designed for use on handguns. The main focus of this optic lies on quick target acquisition, reliability, and durability – especially under challenging weather and operating conditions.

With a window size of 18 x 22 mm, the sight offers a relatively large viewing area, making aiming easier. The 3 MOA dot is perfect for short to medium distances and features nine different brightness settings – plus two night vision settings.

Thanks to the built-in motion sensor, the sight automatically turns off after three minutes of inactivity and, according to the manufacturer, achieves a battery life of up to 50,000 hours – at the lowest setting. Based on previous experience, batteries in handgun optics are typically replaced annually, so you shouldn't have any issues even with higher brightness settings.

The SCRD-75 features a wide adjustment range of 100 MOA, and the clicks are audible and tactile.
The multi-coated lenses round everything off by reducing reflections and stray light. You get a sharp image with vibrant colors and high contrast.

The enclosed design of the SCRD-75 is particularly suitable for use on handguns that are carried daily. The emitter remains free from dirt and foreign objects, and rain or snow does not affect the visibility of the dot.
However, it also performs well on long guns for driven hunts or as a secondary optic on precision rifles.

Our test model is mounted on a Glock 19 Gen 4 MOS and has already proven itself during daily carry. It was mounted using an optional mounting plate from Vector Optics. The VOD footprint is compatible with that of the Aimpoint ACRO, providing a wealth of aftermarket options.
The Vector Optics SCRD-75 offers a plethora of extras for its low price, making it an absolute value-for-money recommendation. Thanks to its enclosed design, it is water and dust-resistant according to IP67, the built-in motion sensor conserves battery life and enables up to 50,000 operational hours, and the large field of view keeps everything in sight. The rounded shape – with no corners or edges – makes this red dot the perfect complement for any pistol.
As usual, the workmanship of Vector Optics is flawless even in the SCRD-75. The finish is smooth and clean, allowing any dirt to slide off easily, and the inscriptions are very subtle. The click adjustments on the optic are not only precise but also audible and tactile.
In the past, we have tested a wide variety of different sights from this brand, and in our opinion, the SCRD-75 is currently the most solid red dot that Vector Optics offers!

Those familiar with the subject will recognize the design of the SCRD-75 and it is undoubtedly inspired by the Aimpoint ACRO. With a current price of €199, the SCRD-75 costs less than a third of the price of an Aimpoint ACRO. To what extent the ruggedness and reliability of the SCRD-75 are comparable to the Aimpoint ACRO will only be revealed over time, but the first impression is definitely convincing.
