The US Army has awarded General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) a contract worth $322.7 million for the continuation of Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) of the M10 Booker Combat Vehicle, a new assault vehicle for the Infantry Brigade Combat Teams (IBCTs) of the US Army.
The M10 Booker is capable of rapidly moving in a wide range of terrain conditions to engage and destroy enemy combatants, providing mobility and enhanced survivability on the battlefield.
As part of an initial small-scale production, several Booker vehicles were delivered to the military for testing. The Booker is equipped with a four-person crew and features an upgraded thermal imaging device, a 105mm M35 cannon, a light hull and turret, as well as a modern diesel engine, transmission, and suspension system. The Booker was designed from the outset to be upgradeable according to future operational requirements.
