The US Department of Defense (DoD) announced on July 29th the provision of security assistance to Ukraine totaling $200 million through the approval of a Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA) package and an additional package of $1.5 billion from the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI).
A large portion of Russian reactions in the information space to the recent ambush by Tuareg rebels on a Wagner Group in northern Mali revolved around the assumption that the Russian Ministry of Defense would try to capitalize on the losses of the Wagner Group, highlighting the enduring mistrust between the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Wagner Group in the Sahel region as well as supporters of the Wagner Group.
Ukrainian drones attacked Russian energy and supply facilities in the Oryol, Voronezh, and Belgorod oblasts on the night of July 28th to 29th.
The Russian forces have recently made confirmed advances northeast of the city of Kharkiv, in Vovchansk, near Avdiivka, and southwest of Donetsk.
