UKRAINE: THE SITUATION 826 - JUNE 17, 2024

NATO considers strengthening nuclear deterrence, Russian media manipulates IAEA interview to blame Ukraine for attacks on nuclear plant, Ukraine's pilots trained on F-16, Russian Offensive Update 826 available from UNDERSTANDING WAR.

06/18/2024  By Redaktion

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg's announcement that NATO could take measures to strengthen its nuclear deterrence elicited different reactions from senior Kremlin representatives.

A Russian state media outlet manipulated an interview with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Mariano Grossi, to blame Ukraine for the attacks on the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, thereby legitimizing Russia's illegal occupation of Ukraine.

Ukraine's Western partners continue their efforts to train more Ukrainian pilots on the F-16 fighter jets provided by the West.

The complete Russian Offensive Update 826 is available directly from UNDERSTANDING WAR.
