On June 7, Russian President Vladimir Putin formulated a theory of victory in Ukraine, assuming that Russian forces will be able to continue their creeping advance indefinitely, prevent Ukraine from carrying out successful and operationally significant counteroffensives, and win a war of attrition against Ukrainian forces.
The US Department of Defense (DoD) announced a security assistance package of $225 million for Ukraine on June 7.
French President Emmanuel Macron stated on June 6 that France will provide an unspecified number of Mirage 2000-5 combat aircraft to Ukraine and equip and train a brigade of 4,500 Ukrainian soldiers.
