The Russian armed forces made further minor tactical advancements northwest and southwest of Avdiivka on April 29, but have not significantly advanced towards Avdiivka in the past 24 hours.

Geolocated images released on April 28 and 29 show that the Russian armed forces have advanced in the west and northeast of Ocheretyn (northwest of Avdiivka), along the railway line to the northwestern outskirts of Ocheretyn, and in Netaylove (southwest of Avdiivka).

The Russian armed forces have several tactical options for future offensives near Avdiivka, but it remains unclear what they will focus their efforts on in the near future.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated during a spontaneous visit to Kyiv on April 29 that Western allies must offer Ukraine long-term, predictable military support and signal to the Kremlin that Russia cannot "wait" for Western support to Ukraine.

The Kremlin is conducting a hybrid campaign that directly targets NATO countries and includes GPS disruptions and sabotage of military logistics on the territory of NATO members.
