Western media reports US representatives considering "freezing the lines" due to insufficient military aid for Ukraine. Discussions premature as new aid only recently approved. Russian forces advancing, more details available from UNDERSTANDING WAR.
Western media continues to report that selected US representatives have revisited the idea of "freezing the lines" as the recent package of US military aid to Ukraine may not be sufficient to regain the entire territory of Ukraine.
Supporters of the current package have not claimed that it would allow Ukraine alone to liberate all occupied areas, and the discussion of a possible end to the war is very premature as President Joe Biden only signed the legislation approving the new package two days ago.
The Russian forces have recently confirmed an advance northwest of Avdiivka, and the Ukrainian forces have confirmed an advance to the east (left bank) of Kherson Oblast, although this was likely not new.
The full Russian Offensive Update 794 is available directly from UNDERSTANDING WAR.
