The US Helsinki Commission states that the US should allow Ukraine to attack military targets in Russian border areas in light of the ongoing Russian offensive in the Kharkiv Oblast, although US authorities are still not willing to support such attacks.
The pace of Russian offensive operations in the northern Kharkiv Oblast is slowing down after Russian forces initially captured areas that Ukrainian sources claim were less well defended.
