The Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu pointed out the ongoing Russian offensive operations near Chasiv Yar, Avdiivka, and the city of Donetsk, and announced Russia's intention to intensify its offensive campaign to disrupt Ukrainian logistics. Shoigu spoke on April 23 before the Russian Ministry of Defense and focused on the recent Russian conquests of Bohdaniwka (northeast of Chasiv Yar), Perwomaiske (southwest of Avdiivka), and Novomykhailivka (southwest of Donetsk).
The Ukrainian forces have recently advanced near Chasiv Yar (west of Bakhmut), while Russian forces moved close to Donetsk City.
Prominent Russian milbloggers continue to complain about the ineffectiveness of Russian drones on the battlefield.
