The effective use of drones by the Ukrainian military on the battlefield cannot completely address the lack of crucial ammunition in Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in an interview with BILD newspaper published on April 10 that Ukraine successfully manufactures drones domestically, but they cannot replace air defense systems, long-range missiles, or artillery. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have partially mitigated the ongoing shortage of ammunition in artillery by using First-Person-View drones (FPV) to weaken attacks by Russian infantry and armored vehicles, although artillery systems are far more effective than loitering munitions and drone-dropped explosives.
