Currently, Ukraine is preventing the Russian armed forces from achieving significant tactical successes along the entire frontline, but further delays in American security assistance will likely increase the risk of Russian operational successes in a nonlinear and potentially exponential manner. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in an interview with CBS News on March 28 that the Ukrainian armed forces had managed to halt the Russian advance until winter 2023/2024 and that they had stabilized the operational situation.
