Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavlyuk as the Commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, replacing the former Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief, Colonel General Oleksandr Syrsky.

On February 11, Zelensky also appointed several other department heads. Zelensky appointed Lieutenant General Yuriy Sodol as the Commander of the Joint Forces, replacing Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev. Zelensky also appointed Brigadier General Ihor Skybyuk as the Commander of the Air Force, succeeding Major General Maksym Myrhorodskyi. Furthermore, Zelensky appointed Major General Ihor Plahuta as the Commander of the Territorial Defense Forces, replacing Major General Anatoliy Barhylevych, who was appointed as the Chief of the General Staff of Ukraine on February 10.

The Russian Armed Forces have advanced near Avdiivka and in the western Zaporizhzhia Oblast, while positional battles continue along the entire front line.

CNN reported on February 11 that Russia has recruited up to 15,000 Nepalese for the fight in Ukraine, many of whom are complaining about poor conditions and lack of proper training before being deployed to the most active frontlines in Ukraine.
