Ukrainian and Russian forces continue their fighting in eastern and southern Ukraine, although rainy weather is likely to further slow down the pace of the fighting until the onset of winter.

A Russian milblogger reports that Ukrainian forces continue to repel a strong group of Russian forces attacking near Avdiivka, and that Ukrainian forces continue to take the initiative in southern Ukraine. The milblogger added that it would be premature to announce Russian victories in order not to give a false impression of the situation on the battlefield. Another Russian milblogger notes that bad weather is hindering the use of armored vehicles in the western area of Zaporizhzhia, but Ukrainian forces continue to attack Russian positions with infantry units. The British Ministry of Defence stated on November 18 that neither side had made significant progress towards Kupiansk and Avdiivka as well as in the eastern (left) part of the Kherson region, where the fiercest fighting is taking place.
