The Russian armed forces launched a series of large-scale missile and drone attacks on Ukraine on the night of November 10-11, targeting the area around Kyiv for the first time in 52 days.

Ukrainian military sources reported on November 11 that the Russian forces had fired 31 Shahed 131/136 drones, two Kh-59 missiles, one Kh-31 missile, one P-800 Onyx anti-ship missile, and one S-300 missile at various targets in Ukraine, specifically targeting the Kyiv Oblast with an Iskander-M or S-400 missile. Ukrainian air defense shot down 19 Shaheds (mostly targeting frontline areas) and one Kh-59 missile, and used a Patriot air defense system to destroy the ballistic missile aimed at the Kyiv area. Russian military bloggers claim that the Russian forces targeted an air defense system at Boryspil Airport near Kyiv. The Kyiv city administration noted that it had been 52 days since Russian forces carried out a missile attack on the Kyiv area.
