The Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated Andriivka in the Bakhmut region on September 14 and continued their offensive operations near Bakhmut and in the western Zaporizhzhia Oblast on September 15.
The Ukrainian General Staff and other Ukrainian officials report that the Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated Andriivka on September 14 and achieved an unspecified partial success near Klyshchiwka (7 km southwest of Bakhmut) on September 15. The Ukrainian 3rd Independent Stumbrigade reports that their troops liberated Andriivka and "completely crushed" the Russian 72nd Motorized Rifle Brigade (3rd Army Corps) after encircling the settlement. The Ukrainian General Staff states that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive operations in the western Zaporizhzhia Oblast and inflict significant losses on Russian troops and equipment near Verbove (18 km southeast of Orichiv).
The Russian Ministry of Defense continues its efforts to take control of the Wagner Group's operations in North Africa, possibly assigning the former commander of the Aerospace Forces (VKS), Sergei Surovikin, with this task.
