UKRAINE: THE SITUATION 561 - SEPTEMBER 5, 2023

Additional geolocated footage from September 5 shows that Ukrainian forces are also advancing south of Robotyne and northwest of Verbove (about 10 km east of Robotyne).

Geolocated evidence of Ukrainian forces northwest of Verbove suggests that they are advancing along the line of Russian fortifications leading into the settlement. Ukrainian military sources also confirm that Ukrainian forces were successful in the direction of Robotyne-Novoprokopivka south of Orikhiv, and further report that Ukrainian forces are conducting successful attack operations south of Bakhmut.

Russian sources continue to lament the lack of sufficient capabilities for Russian forces to defend against guns and artillery ammunition in the face of ongoing Ukrainian counteroffensives.
