The Ukrainian Armed Forces continued their counteroffensive in at least three front sectors on July 22.

The Ukrainian General Staff reports that the Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted counteroffensives in the directions of Berdyansk (Zaporizhzhia-Donetsk region) and Melitopol (western Zaporizhzhia region). According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, Russian forces repelled 14 Ukrainian attacks south of Kreminna (Luhansk region) and in the Bakhmut region. The Ukrainian General Staff has not released a situation report on its counteroffensive on July 22.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukrainian counteroffensives could soon gain momentum and that the delay in the counteroffensives is partly due to limited material resources.

Ukrainian officials stated on July 22 that the Ukrainian blockade campaign against Russian military targets in rear areas has successfully affected Russian logistics and counter-battery capabilities, likely contributing to an asymmetrical attrition in favor of Ukraine. As part of this Ukrainian pressure campaign, Ukrainian forces attacked a Russian oil and ammunition depot in Crimea.
