The Ukrainian Armed Forces are conducting counteroffensives in at least four sectors of the front, making minor advances on July 3.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have also conducted counteroffensives towards Lyman. Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malyar states that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their counteroffensive in the Bakhmut area, in the western border area of Donetsk-Zaporizhia Oblast, and in the western Zaporizhia area.
Malyar states that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have recaptured nine square kilometers of territory in eastern Ukraine, and geolocated imagery shows that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have advanced southwest of Bakhmut. Malyar explains that the Ukrainian Armed Forces also recaptured 28.4 square kilometers in southern Ukraine last week, totaling 158.4 square kilometers in southern Ukraine during an unspecified period. A Russian Milblogger claims that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have made limited progress south of Orichiw in the western Zaporizhia Oblast.
Russian Milbloggers have used the recent Ukrainian activities on the eastern (left) bank of the Kherson Oblast as a reason to call for an increased presence of small river vessels and equipment on the Dnipro to prevent further Ukrainian advances.
