The Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted counteroffensives in at least three sectors of the frontline and made progress on June 19.
A Russian military blogger reports that on June 19, Ukrainian troops continued their attacks northwest, northeast, and southwest of Bakhmut, claiming that Ukrainian forces are advancing near Krasnopolivka (approximately 12 km northeast of Bakhmut). Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malyar also states that Ukrainian troops have advanced up to seven kilometers towards Tavrisk (Zaporizhzhia) in the past week and have liberated 113 square kilometers of territory, including eight settlements in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts.
Russian military bloggers claim that Ukrainian troops have attacked south of Velyka Novosilka in the western Donetsk area. Geolocated footage released on June 19 confirms that Ukrainian troops have liberated Pjatykhatky, about 25 km southwest of Orikhiv in the western Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Military bloggers also report fighting south and southwest of Orikhiv throughout the day on June 19. The British Ministry of Defense estimates on June 19 that Russia has likely moved significant portions of the Dnipro Command from the eastern (left) bank of the Kherson Oblast towards Zaporizhzhia and Bakhmut in response to Ukrainian counteroffensives in the past ten days.
