The Ukrainian Armed Forces continued their counteroffensive in at least four sectors of the front on June 18, achieving limited territorial gains.

Geolocated imagery indicates that Ukrainian forces have made limited advances within a 30 km radius south of Kreminna. Vitaliy Barabash, head of the military administration in the city of Avdiivka, reports that Ukrainian forces have advanced over a kilometer north of Avdiivka on the Donetsk city front line in the past two weeks. According to Russian sources, Ukrainian forces conducted counteroffensives south, southwest, and southeast of Velyka Novosilka at the administrative boundary between the western oblasts of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia, making some locally limited advances. Ukrainian forces continue their counteroffensive in the west of Zaporizhzhia oblast. Geolocated imagery indicates that Ukrainian forces have penetrated the western part of Pyatykhatky (41 km southeast of Zaporizhzhia city), southwest of Orichiv. Captain Valeriy Shershen, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Tavriysk troop group, explains that Russian forces continue their counterattacks in the west of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts, and Ukrainian forces have "a lot of work" ahead. Ivan Fedorov, the Ukrainian mayor of Melitopol, reported that Russian forces continue to relocate personnel and heavy military equipment from the area of Nova Kakhovka and Kakhovka in the eastern Kherson oblast, through Melitopol, to the front line in Zaporizhzhia oblast.
