Russia conducted another Shahed-131/136 drone attack on Ukraine, with Ukrainian air defense destroying 18 out of 24 drones. Strikes targeted various regions including Odesa Oblast and Kiev, with escalating intensity. Full report available from Understanding War.
On May 4, Russia conducted another Shahed-131/136 attack on Ukraine. Ukrainian military sources report that Russian forces fired 24 Shahed-131/136 drones towards Ukraine from the Bryansk region and the eastern coast of the Azov Sea, and that Ukrainian air defense destroyed 18 of these drones over the northern, central, and southern regions of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Southern Command reports that Russian forces fired 15 Shaheds over Odesa Oblast, three of which hit an educational institution. Russian military bloggers claim that the drones targeted military facilities across Ukraine. The military administration of Kiev reports that Russian forces attacked Kiev for the third time in the last four days with Shaheds and unidentified rockets, noting that Kiev has not experienced air attacks of this intensity since the beginning of 2023.
