Ukrainian forces advance in Kherson Oblast as Russian forces retreat to eastern bank of Dnipro River. Social media images confirm progress, disrupting Russian supply lines and forcing retreat.
Ukrainian forces continue to advance in the Kherson Oblast on November 10, while Russian forces retreat to the eastern (left) bank of the Dnipro River. p>
Ukrainian military and geolocated images on social media confirm that Ukrainian troops have advanced northwest, west, and northeast of the city of Kherson in the last 24 hours and have been able to advance up to 7 km in some areas. The Russian forces seem to be withdrawing in relatively good order so far, and the Ukrainian forces are making the expected progress without wearing down the Russian forces, as was the case in the counteroffensive in Kharkiv. Ukrainian attacks since August have successfully disrupted Russian supply lines on the western (right) bank, forcing the Russian forces to retreat, and they will liberate the Kherson area up to the Dnipro River in the coming days or weeks. The Russian withdrawal will take some time, and the fighting will continue throughout the Kherson area as Ukrainian troops advance and encounter prepared Russian defense lines, especially around the city of Kherson. p>
