The Russian armed forces launched a massive missile attack on multiple Ukrainian cities, with Ukrainian air defense shooting down a significant number of missiles and drones. The attack targeted critical infrastructure and residential buildings, causing widespread damage.
The Russian armed forces carried out a massive missile attack on more than 20 cities, including Kyiv, on October 10th. The Ukrainian General Staff reports that the Russian armed forces fired off over 84 cruise missiles and 24 drones, 13 of which were launched by Shahed-136 drones of Iranian production.
The Ukrainian air defense shot down 43 cruise missiles, 10 Shahed-136 drones, and three unspecified drones. The Russian armed forces launched rockets from 10 strategic bombers operating in the Caspian Sea and Nizhny Novgorod, from ballistic short-range missile systems of the Iskander type, and from six missile carriers in the Black Sea. The Russian armed forces launched the Shahed-136 drones from Crimea and Belarus. Ukrainian media reported that Russian missiles hit 70 targets, including 29 critical infrastructure facilities, 4 high-rise buildings, 35 residential buildings, and a school.
