Russian forces are concentrating in the outskirts of Kyiv for an imminent attack on the capital, with Chechen and Rosgvardia troops present. Limited progress has been made, indicating potential difficulties in assembling enough power for a full-scale assault.
The Russian forces continued to concentrate in the eastern, northwestern, and western outskirts of Kyiv for an attack on the capital in the next 24-96 hours.
The reported presence of troops from Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, Russian Rosgvardia formations for internal security, and the PMC company "Liga" (formerly "Wagner") in the western outskirts of Kyiv could indicate that the Russian military is having difficulty assembling enough conventional combat power for an attack on the capital.
