The UG-TOOLS TiNy Floe knife is designed for practical use, featuring a lightweight titanium handle and a versatile 100 mm drop point blade made from 14C28N steel. With its ergonomic design and clever carrying solutions, it offers excellent functionality and aesthetics, making it an ideal Every Day Carry (EDC) tool.
Let's be honest: a knife is made for working. Some want to collect, others just want to own. We want to use it. There's no need to drive prices into heavenly heights; the knife should be put to the test, being beautiful alone is not enough. UG-TOOLS are currently a hot topic and are receiving a lot of accolades: both rightfully so, we must say, after we have put one of their knives to use for over a year. For us, it's become EDC – Every Day Carry – when we go out. This is due to how compact and robust the knife is and how cleverly its features are designed.
Here are the key data for the TiNy Floe:

UG-TOOLS are pioneers. This is because of how they process titanium, namely through 3D printing. This is how this handle piece is created. The ultralight, yet shape-stable 3DTi‑handle made from titanium features a so-called Floe structure, whose even roughness guarantees a secure grip even in sweat, moisture, or cold. In combination with the pronounced finger guard, it provides a high level of safety for the user. Weighing only 38 grams, the handle allows for fatigue-free working over longer periods. In other words: it is damn light. The entire knife weighs 80 grams.

The Tiny with a 100 mm drop point blade made from 14C28N steel was designed as a versatile workhorse, with a solid blade thickness of 2.8 mm. The drop point geometry offers a balanced combination of cutting performance and high durability of the cutting edge. The stonewashed surface reduces reflections and makes the blade resistant to scratches. The ricasso and the smooth transition to the titanium handle ensure consistently good resharpening.

View from the back. The TiNy is not only a Floe, but has a full tang (the blade steel goes through the handle), and there are also two openings for a lanyard that the user can add if they like.

As it is with the small, beautiful things in life: they need to be well balanced. The knife rests on the tip of a finger in the center and lies steadily and perfectly.

The “little one” has a practical size. It doesn’t appear socially striking like the dagger that Rambo fights with in the American wilderness, but it’s still a working knife that allows the user to strike big wood confidently with batoning (the second piece of wood hits the back of the knife to split the other), and it can also handle fine kindling, cut mushrooms, or spread butter. Everything that a good knife does in everyday life.

But it’s not just the knife; it’s also the sheath. Here, too, UG-TOOLS opted for a 3D-printed version. It is laser-sintered and precisely tailored to the knife. This results in the best outcomes.

Do good and talk about it: UG-TOOLS is marked on it, and the logo is also present.

Side view, showing how slim everything is.

This little bar is the lock for the knife and holds firmly. You just have to press lightly, and you can pull out the blade.

This is the extremely clever carrying solution. The item on the left can be attached to the belt or onto the backpack with Velcro. The star fits into the counterpart on the sheath and holds very well. At the same time, the knife with the sheath can be released with one pull on the lock and taken in hand. Impressively good and practical.

This is what the mounting on the pants belt looks like.

We decided to mount the knife horizontally for easy access.

Just grab, release, and pull – we have truly fallen in love with this mechanism.

This is what the entire set looks like. And the knife is ready to work again.
CONCLUSION: UG-TOOLS produces awesome stuff. Here we are with something small and handy and at a price that is realistic for a knife that is truly special. A companion you are happy to use, that as a tool delivers on what it promises, and that is not only a great knife but also aesthetically pleasing. You can rely on UG-TOOLS.
The UG-TOOLS TiNy Floe with Droppoint Blade is available directly from the manufacturer for 199 euros. The set with sheath costs 250. The sheath and various mounting options are available HERE.
