UF PRO P-40 Gen.2 Shorts Woodland

Summer, sun, sunshine. And high time for fashionable camo. UF PRO has brought back the legendary M81 Woodland camouflage pattern of the US Army. It looks great and is ideal for summer.

This is how the good piece looks from the front: green, brown, black, and a beige tone intertwined. The pattern originated from a more entangled Vietnam pattern and was introduced to the Americans in 1981. It was replaced in 2004 by UCP – the digital mint pattern was meant to be "universal," but in fact, it didn’t camouflage anywhere. To this day, it’s not entirely clear who convinced the US Army of this. 

The shorts from UF PRO have a belt buckle that shows where the piece comes from. 

The construction is sensible, as you can snap the buckle onto the button and attach the velcro straps from the right and left. This is practical, but also a bit over-engineered. The idea is that you no longer need your own velcro belt since you can go directly over with the equipment belt. The price is for a rather thick construction. 

Otherwise classic: button and hook and zipper. 

Nice deep pockets in the pants. A lot fits in there. 

And thigh pockets that are real works of art. 

Closed with a zipper and access from above. Inside nice organization with a flexible strap, so you can easily stow away three 0.3-liter water bottles. Staying hydrated is particularly important in the summer, cheers! 

This is the built-in air conditioning. If you open the vertical access to the pocket, a mesh is exposed, and a fresh breeze reaches your legs and crown jewels. If you're sitting in the car, you can open another zipper and access the main compartment of the thigh pocket. 

What is really excellent is the externally attached phone pocket. It sits well and is easy to reach. If you're not using it, which is unlikely, you can also detach the velcro strip. 

Or you can fold it into the pocket, thus providing excellent fixation for your most important item. 

For something else, there is also a small pocket behind it. 

A pocket knife fits in there if you are still allowed to carry one, or a ruler as well.

In the upper area, the velcro for belt integration continues. As with the tactical pants (long pant legs), the cross here is padded. 

At the back, there are two zippered pockets that sit perfectly here. 

And this is the knee length. Great for summer. 

Because with these, you can always go for ice cream. And when you put on the equipment belt, the P-40 Gen.2 Tactical Shorts Woodland also feels at home on the range.
