UF-PRO: More flame-retardant clothing

With the Striker FR Gen.2 Battle Dress Uniform, UF PRO expands its range of high-performance flame-retardant clothing for police and military, as the manufacturer of tactical high-tech equipment announced today.

According to UF PRO, the Striker FR Gen.2 BDU significantly reduces the risk of serious or fatal injuries from flames and intense heat that occur near an explosion at the detonation, as well as from flashover fires.

Prior to its debut, the Striker FR Gen.2 BDU underwent rigorous testing. The Thermo Man test method was used, in which the garment is placed on a sensor-equipped mannequin and both are exposed to a 3-second flashover. The data collected by the sensors in the Thermo Man test provides insights into the likely extent of injuries a person would suffer in a real flashover (if any). The test results of the Striker FR Gen.2 BDU have shown that the suit offers exceptional protection, UF PRO is pleased to announce.
