The text discusses a group of individuals, possibly from DEVGRU, in Afghanistan wearing civilian clothes with military gear. They are seen with horses and carrying weapons, including ones from Patriot Ordnance Factory. The photos depict a mix of civilian and military attire, hinting at a possible mission.
Whatever drove them, these guys are pretty sure DEVGRU and the pictures are currently from Afghanistan. They are wearing civilian clothes with LBT-6094A in AOR1 over it. The guy in the middle is even more than in civilian clothes: we assume, this is supposed to scare Afghan civilians - or he wants his magnificent tattoo to be safely retouched by reenactors. Anyway, the guy on the left is wearing the "Gonna face justice" badge from DEVGRU. But why is DEVGRU riding again? Check it out here...
The man in the picture on the top left has now grabbed a horse, and just like both smile into the camera, we feel a little pity for the horse. But that's not our topic. What is interesting about the picture is the weapon that the DEVGRU man is carrying here. It is probably an upper from Patriot Ordnance Factory (POF) on an HK416 Lower (If anyone knows better, please say...). The sight is, after a long time, once again an ACOG with Docter Sight.
Even small horses can carry big men. And the horse is not that small. Here the patrol sets off. More people from DEVGRU, not all as civilian as the first three in the picture above. In DCU and Woodland probably Afghan National Army. In the middle of the picture, again the man from the previous picture: here you can see that his weapon has a pretty long barrel. Combat distances with the Taliban are now mostly around 400 meters, so they stay outside the effective range of the normal M4.
Special Thanks to Pat and Michael for the pictures.
