RAFAEL has received a £20 million contract from the British Ministry of Defence (MOD) for the state-of-the-art TROPHY Active Protection System (APS) ahead of DSEI 2023. The British Ministry of Defence has recognized the TROPHY APS as an essential addition to protect the Challenger 3 battle tanks and their valued crew members from modern threats on the battlefield through a rigorous evaluation.

RAFAEL, in collaboration with the British Ministry of Defence, has successfully completed the second phase of integrating the TROPHY Active Protection System on the Challenger 3 (CR3). A series of live-fire tests conducted at the end of 2022 demonstrate the effectiveness of the system, as it was able to intercept well over 90% of the threats targeting the CR3 representation tank equipped with TROPHY APS.
